Ignited Mutation (70x), Eclipsed (80x) & All Multipliers
Ignited is a 70x Grow a Garden 2 mutation from Sunburst. Learn how to get it, compare Eclipsed, Glow, Bloodlit, and every current multiplier.
Mutations change a crop’s appearance and multiply its sell value. Current references agree on two rules: multipliers are fixed values, not random ranges, and a crop can carry only one mutation at a time.
Ignited Mutation: Quick Answer
Ignited gives a crop a 70x value multiplier. It can be applied during the daytime-only Sunburst weather event, which current reporting says lasts five minutes and targets crops at random. Keep valuable crops unharvested before Sunburst, then check the crop itself or the sell preview to confirm Ignited actually applied.
Ignited is no longer the largest published multiplier. The July 12 update added Eclipsed at 80x, while Glow at 100x is reported as a special mutation from Star Fruit. Those two newer values have less source history, so they remain medium confidence and the live game is authoritative.
Current Mutation Multipliers
| Mutation | Multiplier | Trigger or Source | Confidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glow | 100x | Star Fruit special mutation | Medium — one current editorial guide plus community corroboration |
| Eclipsed | 80x | Eclipse weather | Medium — added July 12; major reference tables have not caught up |
| Ignited | 70x | Sunburst weather | Medium — recently added; some secondary pages still conflict |
| Bloodlit | 60x | Blood Moon weather | High |
| Starstruck | 50x | Starfall weather | High |
| Aurora | 40x | Aurora Borealis weather | High |
| Rainbow | 30x | Rainbow mutation roll or Rainbow seed | High |
| Electric | 25x | Lightning Storm weather | High |
| Frozen | 14x | Freezing weather | High |
| Gold | 10x | Gold mutation roll or Gold seed | High |
The old values shown as ranges—such as Bloodlit 60x–80x or Electric 25x–70x—were not supported by current reference tables and have been removed.
How Weather Mutations Work
Weather creates a window in which crops can receive the matching mutation. It does not add a separate bonus at the Sell Shop. The valuable step is getting the mutation onto the crop before selling it.
Eclipse → Eclipsed
Eclipse weather can randomly apply Eclipsed at 80x. Current sources disagree on whether the event lasts two minutes or two minutes and 30 seconds, so prepare crops before it begins instead of relying on an exact timer. The July 12 update log confirms the event and mutation were added together.
Sunburst → Ignited
Sunburst is reported as a five-minute, daytime-only event. Ignited is currently listed at 70x. Because it was added recently and some secondary sources still disagree, verify the sell preview if an update has just landed.
Blood Moon → Bloodlit
Bloodlit is a fixed 60x. It remains one of the strongest and best-documented event mutations.
Starfall → Starstruck
Starstruck is a fixed 50x.
Aurora Borealis → Aurora
Aurora is a fixed 40x in the two sources used for this guide. A conflicting 90x claim appears elsewhere, so this page uses the corroborated lower value.
Lightning Storm → Electric
Electric is a fixed 25x. “Static” is sometimes used informally, but Electric is the name used in current reference tables.
A Safer Mutation Strategy
- Keep high-base-value crops ready when valuable weather begins.
- Confirm the event and mutation name in the current UI.
- Use Golden Dragonfly when targeting Gold; it doubles the Gold mutation chance.
- Use Unicorn when targeting Rainbow; it doubles the Rainbow mutation chance.
- Sell only after verifying the crop actually received the mutation.
- Use a private server if night theft would put the harvest at risk.
Do not plan around an unsourced “1% base chance.” The game does not expose one universal number that can safely be applied to every crop, seed, weather event, and update.
Common Mistakes
- Treating mutation multipliers as variable ranges.
- Assuming weather increases the Sell Shop price even when the crop did not mutate.
- Claiming mutations stack on one crop.
- Calling a mutation “best for” a particular crop; the multiplier applies to crop value, so higher base value generally produces the larger result.
- Using obsolete pet names or invented mutation-rate bonuses.
Verification Notes
Fixed multipliers and the one-mutation rule were cross-checked with IGN’s mutation reference and Rock Paper Shotgun’s mutation guide. Ignited comes from Sportskeeda’s Sunburst guide. The newer Eclipsed and Glow values come from Sportskeeda’s Eclipse guide, with the July 12 additions cross-checked against the community update log.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Ignited mutation multiplier?
Ignited currently gives a crop a 70x value multiplier. Apply it to the crop value, not the seed purchase price.
How do I get Ignited in Grow a Garden 2?
Keep useful crops ready for daytime Sunburst weather. Sunburst can apply Ignited to crops at random and is currently reported to last five minutes, but it does not guarantee a specific crop will mutate.
Is Ignited the highest-value mutation?
No. Current July 15 sources report Eclipsed at 80x and the Star Fruit-specific Glow mutation at 100x. These newer values remain medium confidence, so the live crop and sell preview are authoritative.
Can a crop have more than one mutation?
No. Current references agree that one crop can carry only one mutation at a time.
