Mutations multiply your crop's sell value. This quick reference covers every mutation, its multiplier range, and the weather event that triggers it.

Note: You can only have one mutation per crop at a time. A Bloodlit Moon Bloom will always outperform a Rainbow Moon Bloom — prioritize the highest-multiplier event when possible.

Weather Events

Weather events are the primary way to target specific mutations. When a weather event is active, crops have a significantly higher chance of receiving that event's associated mutation.

Aurora Borealis Aurora 40x–90x High-risk, high-reward. Can beat Bloodlit at max roll

Lightning Storm Electric 25x–70x Wide range with decent floor; farm during event
Sunburst Ignited 20x–50x Good for newer players with B-tier crops

Weather Priority

When multiple events overlap — or when deciding which event to wait for — prioritize in this order:

  1. Blood Moon — highest floor (60x), best reliability
  2. Aurora Borealis — highest ceiling (90x), but risky floor (40x)
  3. Starfall — guaranteed 50x, no RNG variance
  4. Lightning Storm — decent expected value
  5. Sunburst — consistent but lowest ceiling

How to Get Mutations

There are three ways to get mutations:

1. Random Chance (~1%)

Every crop has a roughly 1% base chance to mutate when harvested. This is the least reliable method — don't count on it for your most valuable crops.

2. Guaranteed from Special Seeds

Gold Seeds and Rainbow Seeds guarantee a mutation. These seeds are earned through:

  • Guild weekly event rewards
  • Limited-time codes and events
  • High-level progression milestones

Save Gold and Rainbow Seeds for your S-tier crops (Moon Bloom, Ghost Pepper, Dragon's Breath) to maximize their value.

3. Weather Events (Recommended)

The most reliable way to target specific mutations. Check the in-game forecast, plant your best seeds before the event starts, and harvest during the event window for dramatically increased mutation rates.
